'God was doing onto others as he would have done onto him'   by providing a short simple guide.

 The Bible written by men is a lengthy read, a lengthy over-convoluted contradictory confusing guide, with changing rules and shifting goal post,
'this is not doing onto others as one would have done onto them' .
