Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis piece is effective overall. I understand where you're going with it. It's maybe a little crudely drawn in some areas. I would develop the rendering of her dress it looks flat to me. Her left hand holding the violin looks wrong. I think you did a great job of making the figure stand out with the stark contrast between her dark dress and white skin. I would look at that whole area with the violin and her shoulder. I just think that area should be developed more.
You're background has nice depth but I think it could be pushed even further. There's something about the grassy area in the front, maybe it needs a subtle change in value to look more 3 dimensional. I'm also not feeling the weight of this figure. Maybe she should cast a shadow on the steps or something. Maybe sharper edges on the step and more detail in the front of the image would help?
